Reading your link to the exchange of Orombi letters (of whom I had never even heard of, or bothered to find out about until your other ‘anonymous’ responder got so upset!) leaves me somewhat bemused.
The ‘Anglican Communion’ proudly claims some 80 million ‘members’ which actually represents just over 1% of the world population.
There are more people log onto Facebook everyday!
The ‘Anglican Communion’ is little more than an irrelevance to the vast majority of the world and the bickering of its leadership only open it to more ridicule.
My ‘anonymous wife’ refers to denominations of churches as ‘cheeses’ and the ‘Anglican cheese’ just happens to be the cheese currently on my cheeseboard. I would quite happily eat a bit of ‘Baptist Brie’ or ‘Methodist Matured Cheddar’ when I read of the way that some of our ‘leaders’ behave.
Incidentally, I’ve just discovered that there’s a cheese from Gloucestershire called ‘Stinking Bishop’. I’m off to Sainsbury’s to see if they’ve got some.
